New Zawinul CD!

[sculpey]

Wow, I haven't really followed him since Weather Report. That makes me..................
really old.

[Street Worm]

Since Weather Report he's put out a few albums with the Zawinul Syndicate.
The only one I'd recommend is World Tour.

(Unless you're a hard core Zawinul fan)

A solo CD called Faces & Places is fantastic.

This new one sounds really good-

He's even put out a few classical (type) albums.........Oh yeah, & he opened "Joe Zawinul's Birdland in Vienna, Austria"

hey SW, if you dig Zawinul, you should listen to Sonny Sharrock. His album Ask the Ages on Axiom is Faaaaaantastic!

Why do I suddenly have the urge to go buy a Sun Ra CD? Space Is The Place !!!

[Street Worm]

lol.........
you know the first album I ever bought was by Sun Ra

& Figgy, I'll check that out~

The legend himself:

Wouldn't it be soooo cool if Todd made figures of great Jazz guys?!?!

(I know it'll never happen, but it sure would be cool)

[sculpey]

It would be beyond cool if he did a jazz line.

I happened to know personally Joe Zawinul a coupla years ago and I must say he's a very nice and humble guy.We talked about Weather Report and
his peculiar way to make music.
I would love to have TMP do a Jazz line, and one of my favorite figure would be the greatest bass player of all time, Jaco Pastorius. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
